Agnès BENET, PhD. Oceanologist and founder of the association of Mata Tohora association, tells you about our big expedition in preparation: Odyssey for Life!
This project is part of the DNA of the Mata Tohora association, created in 2013 to participate in the protection of marine mammals in Polynesia.
This involves collecting information to have a better overall knowledge of the biology and ecology of the population of humpback whales which frequent Polynesian waters.
Concretely, we will follow the whales in their migration from Polynesia to Antarctica.
On board, we selected a team of international scientists, specialized in several disciplines to study the environment, behavior and health status of the cetaceans observed.
In our next video, we will tell you about the detailed objectives of our odyssey.
See you soon…
