Pour la première fois, nous vous proposons d’embarquer avec nous pour découvrir les déplacements et les périodes migratoires des baleines à bosse au départ de la Polynésie française vers l’Antarctique.
Leurs déplacements et leur comportement dans les 5 archipels sont également enregistrés pour contribuer à leur protection au sein du sanctuaire de la Polynésie.
Nous mesurons la pollution des océans et l’impact sur la santé des baleines à bosse, avec des relevés toxicologiques. La génétique, les microbiotes, les bactéries sont analysés grâce aux nouveaux procédés non-invasifs élaborés par l’équipe espagnole de ce programme.
Nous surveillons l’impact du changement climatique sur les routes migratoires des baleines à bosse, à travers les modifications de leur niche écologique, dans le but de préserver cette espèce protégée.

For the first time, we invite you to embark with us to discover the movements and migratory periods of humpback whales departing from French Polynesia to Antarctica.
Their movements and behavior in the 5 archipelagos are also recorded to contribute to their protection within the sanctuary of Polynesia.
We measure ocean pollution and the impact on the health of humpback whales, with toxicological surveys. Genetics, microbiota and bacteria are analyzed using new non-invasive processes developed by the Spanish team in this program.
We are monitoring the impact of climate change on the migratory routes of humpback whales, with the resulting modifications to the environment and the conditions of their ecological niche, with the aim of preserving this protected species.
